Sorry to post this in the comments section, I couldn’t find your contact info on the blog.

My name is Chris Diaz and I am contacting you on behalf of the Montreal Stop Motion Film Festival. My mandate is to help promote the third edition of the festival, which will take place on the 21st – 23rd of October. We are now in the process of looking for film entries for the festival. The deadline is approaching fast (September 26th) so we are trying to reach as many animators, directors, and producers as we can. We’d love if Howcast would be interested in submitting Randy Boyum’s “How to survive an Alien Abduction” in this year’s edition.

The festival is free to enter, competitive, and there will be awards provided in each of our categories: Professional, Academic, and Independent films, as well as a new category for commercials and advertisements. The entry form and a complete listing of festival rules and guidelines can be found on our website:

    http://www.stopmotionmontreal.com/Entries.html

As the deadline is approaching quickly, we would would like to ask for assistance in spreading the word that the Montreal Stop Motion Film Festival is open for submissions. For your convenience I have attached below the press release for the Call for Entries, which you may freely distribute to anyone who is either interested in either submitting or spreading the word.

We hope you are able to join us in spreading the joy, love and visibility of stop motion films!

Let me know if you have any questions, your help is greatly appreciated!

    Best regards,

    Christopher Diaz

This year, the professional segment has been updated with a new category for films-commercials less than 1 minute in running time and we will have more guest appearance during this week-end long event that promises to be super cool!
