Interior flying ship work

I started the bridge, and got some the controls in for the captain’s bridge. Ignore the clouds on the background, that is leftover from “Poetree” film. The captain will sit in the chair and probably won’t get up for most of the film. He will be mostly moving levers and doing whatever it takes to fly the ship.

Down in this area to the left will be the deckhand’s room and he will move around and do stuff while the ship flies.

some more landscape work

here are some more exterior landscape shots in progress. I added the second section, and am working on the third.

The black area on the left sits lower than the rest of the sets. The ship will rise vertically up through this granite area after takeoff and then fly across the other two sets.

Well I have made a lot of progress on the film since the last blog post. Here are some photos of the first section of exterior landscape. There will be three sections at least. It is all paper mache, styrofoam, white glue and landscape textures.  The flying ship flies over all of this.
